Where is your studio located?
Headshots by Kara is located in The Woodlands, TX. We have indoor backdrops and backgrounds as well as a park nearby that is perfect for outdoor shots.
Where will the session take place?
That depends on the type of session you are looking for. If you are doing a simple headshot session, you will come to the studio where we have indoor and outdoor locations available. If you are doing a branding or lifestyle session, we will go to a location that makes the most sense based on your profession. This is something we will discuss in your consultation.
How much time should I block out for my session?
For headshot sessions you will only need 10-30 minutes. It really depends on what you need and how into it you are. We can have you in and out pretty quick if that’s what suits you. Branding and lifestyle photos take a little longer, but again it depends on you. We would recommend blocking out at least an hour, but 2 or 3 would be better. Branding and lifestyle require more images and offer the ability to change outfits as many times as you would like. During your consultation we will be able to better determine how long your session might take.
How long does the process take from start to finish?
This depends on scheduling. If we are both able to make time to do a shoot soon, it might take just a week or two until you have your images in hand. For branding and lifestyle, once the photos are taken, we will lightly edit them and upload them to an online viewing platform, which usually happens within 5 business days, but it can take more or less time depending on our work load. From there you can choose your favorites and let us know of any specific edits you may like. Once you share your favorites with us, we will work on final edits and should have your finished photos to you within about 5 business days. Once your invoice is paid, you can download your photos immediately from the online viewing platform and begin using them as soon as you are ready. So once your photos have been taken you could have them in 2 weeks or less.
Headshot sessions typically take less time, because their are fewer images. Depending on your needs, both of our schedules, and responsiveness, you could have your images within 24 hours, but the average time for headshot photos is about 5 days from shoot to delivery.
Can I print my digital images?
Of course! The files you receive will be high resolution, so you can do almost anything with them. Although if you are using them for something very large, we would recommend reaching out to us to make sure the file is sufficient.
